I can get incredibly violent in my dreams when I'm arguing with people, where in real life I cried because I accidentally punched someone's nose during karate practise. I often wonder if this means I'm inherently violent and suppressing it in my waking life, or I just really like to argue and let loose in my dreams?

Also, I've always wanted to retreat to the woods and live as a hermit, and I basically am doing so, but I cannot seem to grow a beard ๐Ÿ˜… .

I think everybody is inherently violent, because we're omnivores, and we've needed to be violent to survive in nature. But [long story short] here we are; only representatives of the State are permitted to be violent against humans. You know, because of Reasons.

Mostly, when I dream, I find it a struggle to write anything with a pen and paper that is legible. It's really frustrating. I don't have some sort of 'writers block' in waking life; I don't believe it exists; but using a pen drives me insane, in dreams. And I seem to be doing it quite a lot.

Last time I grew facial hair, I shaved it off then walked out of the bathroom to learn a plane had crashed into the WTC buildings in NYC. I've been skittish about facial hair ever since!

From the google

"Writing in dreams is rare and often difficult because the brain areas responsible for language and, specifically, writing (like Exner's area) are less active during REM sleep. While text may appear blurry, distorted, or constantly changing, some people manage to write by becoming lucid."

Have you tried lucid dreaming? It's a kick, I do it often. But I still can't dial a phone number in my dreams.

I've had one lucid dream, and oddly it happened while I imagined I was using a phone. I stared hard at the phone and realized I was in the hypnagogic state, and then I carefully turned away and went for a walk. But I'm wary of lucid dreaming in case I accidentally astral project and meet a gray alien ๐Ÿคช
